James P. McCune III is a civil litigation associate with Boggs, Boggs & Bates,
L.L.C. in its principal office in Clayton, Missouri. In 1991, he received his
BA in Political Science from Washington & Jefferson College. In 1994, he
received his Juris Doctor from the Oklahoma City University School of Law.
In 1994, Mr. McCune was admitted to the Bar of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
and the Western District of Pennsylvania. In 1997, he was admitted to the United
States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. While practicing in Pennsylvania,
Mr. McCune tried in excess of 100 arbitration hearings and bench trials. His
practice in Pennsylvania included medical malpractice defense, insurance defense
and workers' compensation defense. He briefed and argued appeals before the
Superior Court of Pennsylvania and briefed appeals to the United States Court
of Appeals for the Third Circuit. He served as an arbitrator in the Washington
County Court of Common Pleas. He also received numerous court appointments
to represent indigent litigants.
In 2003, Mr. McCune was admitted to the Bar of Missouri. In 2004, Mr. McCune
joined Boggs, Boggs & Bates, L.L.C. and was admitted to the Bar of Illinois.
He concentrates his practice in tort litigation and insurance coverage. He
has sucessfully defended numerous personal injury cases before juries in
Illinois and Missouri.
Mr. McCune is a member of the Pennsylvania, Missouri and Illinois Bar Associations.
