Edward R. Albin is an associate at Boggs, Boggs & Bates, L.L.C. He received his Bachelors in Arts
in English Literature from the University of Missouri-St. Louis in 2003. Mr. Albin received his J.D. from
Southern Illinois University-Carbondale in 2006. During law school, he was a member of Phi Alpha Delta
and served as an Articles Editor for the Southern Illinois University Law Journal.
Mr. Albin is admitted to practice in the state of Missouri and Illinois, as well as the United States District Court for
the Eastern and Western District of Missouri. He concentrates his practice in premises liability and
insurance defense.
While serving on the Law Journal, Mr. Albin authored the article "The Inclusion Of Settling Defendants
Under Section 2-1117: The Right Move For The Illinois Courts." This article discusses the allocation of
fault among settling defendants and argues that the fault of all defendants should be taken into account
by the jury. Mr. Albin also authored a survey article on tort law for the Summer 2006 issue of the
Southern Illinois University Law Journal.
